HEY HOW ARE YOU ALL sorry I'm the worst at life journaling.

I pretty much stopped watching tv for a long time. I hardly watched anything for a year. If I watched anything it was just random youtube videos that I'd fall asleep to halfway through. And I'd watch things that were available on Netflix because it meant I didn't have to turn on my computer and download something. But lately I've been making the effort to rediscover my true love (television) and get caught up on things.

Shows I'm now current on:

The 100
Better Call Saul
Agents of SHIELD
Daredevil
Jessica Jones
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
Dark Matter
Game of Thrones
Longmire
The OA
Master of None
Stranger Things
Bojack Horseman
3%

Show I'm currently getting caught up on:

The Americans (1/3 of the way through the current season)

Shows next on the list to catch up on:

The Walking Dead (haven't watched last have of season 7)
Killjoys (haven't watched season 2)
Orphan Black (haven't watched season 4)
Fargo (need to start season 3, which is currently airing)
Grimm (need to finish the last couple eps of season 5, and then apparently the show ended with one more season :( so I need to watch that too.)
Homeland (need to watch season 6)

Shows I will one day resume, one daaaaaay:

Continuum (just need to watch that last wrap-up season)
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (I don't even remember where I left off)

Shows I stopped watching a while ago and gave up on:

Arrow
Once Upon a Time
Elementary
Vikings
Sleepy Hollow
probably others

I missed you, tv

Two (Or Three) Things And A Meme

For those that might have used it, Imzy is shutting down. I never made a single post or comment, but I had registered at some point. I just never went back after that.

Rosario Dawson is reportedly in talks to play Cecilia Reyes in the New Mutants film; also, that film will apparently go full on horror. I'm not sure what to think about that.

Edit: Correction, it's three things of note. It turns out the Icelandic version of Dracula--Powers of Darkness--is really Swedish.

From the article: "First he assumed that Makt myrkranna would be a straight translation of the Swedish publication, but then he found out that the Swedish text is more complete and contains scenes neither described in Dracula nor in Makt myrkranna. And the madman Renfield is still in the story, among others."

So there's that! And on World Dracula Day, no less.

And here’s a meme that I thought it might be fun to try.

meme: If you were to remix one of my stories, 1.) what would it be and 2.) what would you do. TELL ME.

For all of my stories, it’s sort of spread out across Ao3 and the ‘fanfic I’ve written tag’.

Today was triple digits and I had to drive around in my car for hours. D: Yay for AC, but even that was barely enough. When I returned home, I didn't want to do anything because too hot. The joys of living in a desert. :/

I have June 2nd off, so I am going to actually watch Wonder Woman in a movie theater. Usually I'd just wait until it's on Hulu or Netflix or ahem, but I want to support Wonder Woman. I'm really, super hopeful that it's as great as the trailers are making it out to be and I really hope it doesn't bomb because Hollywood would very much use that as an excuse to not have anymore woman-led superhero movies or similar, so I'm going to make it a point to go to the theaters. I love Gal Gadot and I love her Wonder Woman from Batman v Superman, so I'm hopeful.

Property Brothers is currently showing its previous seasons on Hulu. I love love love listening to/watching/reading about housing and decoration, and Property Brothers is great for all of that. I am nowhere near owning my own anything, so I have to live vicariously through everything else. Like Pinterest ;)

Currently on 7 of 25 hats. \o/

Because I think we all need some mindless stuff at the moment, have a meme that I took from [personal profile] musesfool.

Cite the final line of five of your fics – your favorites, or the most recent ones.

1. There was still happiness yet to come...for both the living, as well as for the undead. Wrap The Cloak Of Night Around His Shoulders. Dracula (1968), following the wedding between Seward and Mina.

2. With this bittersweet chapter concluded, they would see to the rest of their lives. Let The Shadows Become Your Shroud. Crimson Peak (2015). That’s basically Alan and Edith limping off to see to their wounds, mourn Thomas, and just live, in the aftermath of a massive exorcism of a ghost from reality itself.

3. There was solace in the shadows, for both young and old vampires alike. Give Your Soul To The Night. Fright Night (1985). Jerry is revelling in winning as quietly as he can, while settling down for a nap, surrounded by turned teenagers, in his coffin in the basement.

4. Only the dead remained. Blood Begets A Curse Anew. Legend (1985). It probably is as grim as it sounds, as Darkness basically teleported a changed Lili (help me; I keep writing Lucy) out of the dining hall, after teleporting the goblins away to somewhere presumably unpleasant. Oh, and should anyone be curious about this story, do beware of a bit of animal sacrifice at the beginning, and references to torture in the middle.

5. And we gladly feast on those that would subdue us. Because We’re Addamses. Wednesday Addams is thinking, and thereby reiterating a statement made in the first Addams Family film.

Work. School. Work. Work. School. Not enough sleep. Fun times /o\

I purchased a cheap desk from Amazon and paid for it with my free gift cards. From reading the reviews, I knew it was going to be a little wobbly, but that's fine since the TV dinner stands I've been using as a "desk" are a little wobbly. I've mostly built the desk (and I have to redo some of the screws because they suck and they're not all going in completely), but it works. I currently have my laptop on it, though my desk is in the middle of the living room because I don't know where to officially put it yet.

I also have a ton of crap on the floor everywhere because I'm trying to figure out where to put everything. Uh, I'll figure out something.

I keep stalling on this fic because I know where I want to go, but I don't know how to get there. I should put this fic aside and work on a treat, though that'll require canon review. I could probably do that tomorrow when I have time, but I'll plot some now.

This is not in order of importance, but in order of how recently I heard of it.

1. Sir Roger Moore has passed away at the age of 89, following a “short but brave battle with cancer.” He will be best known for his role as James Bond, over the course of seven films. Sherlock Holmes fans may also remember that he was Holmes in the film Sherlock Holmes In New York (1976).

2. My condolences must also go out to Zack Snyder, his wife, and the rest of his family in the wake of a family tragedy. Snyder will be stepping down as the director of Justice League as he mourns the loss of his daughter, and requested that Joss Whedon direct additional material for him.

3. And lastly, but certainly not least: as the numbers confirmed to be both dead and injured continue to rise, my thoughts are with the families affected by the suicide bombing at Manchester yesterday. It just didn’t feel right to post condolences and not mention this one as well. Here’s James Corden’s message to Manchester.
